Leisure, Community & Engagement Committee

The Leisure, Community & Engagement Committee was established in 2024, with its first meeting taking place on 23 July 2024.

The committee was created by bringing together the former Leisure & Amenities Committee, Events Committee, and Climate, Culture, Community & Development Committee.  This Change was made to streamline the Council’s work, reduce the number of meetings, and improve effiency.

The committee is responsible for a wide range of matters relating to community engagement, leisure facilities, events, environmental initiatives, and local development.  It meets regularly, and agendas and minutes are published on the Council’s website.

The current members of the committee are: Cllr Chris Cook, Cllr David Boyle (Chair), Cllr Ian Graham, Cllr Julie McLean, Cllr Billy Nicholls (Deputy) & Cllr Dannielle Pope-Brannon.

Agendas and minutes for LCE Committee meetings can be found in the box to the left and in the council archive.  Only the agenda for the next meeting is displayed.  Clicking on a meeting date will open the relevant agenda or minutes.

For security reasons, copies of minutes published on this website do not include the Chair’s signature.  Signed copies are available to view at the Council office.
