In 2020, the Parish Council reviewed its committee structure and converted a number of working groups into formal committees to improve transparency and accountability. The Finance and Governance Committee (commonly known as F&G) was established as part of this process.
While the full Council retains overall responsibility for the Parish Council’s finances, it has delegated certain day-to-day financial functions, within agreed limits to the F&G Committee. The committee is responsible for approving payments, monitoring expenditure against the budget, considering grant applications, developing the annual budget, and reviewing council policies and procedures. It also makes recommendations and reports to the Parish Council on finance and governance matters. Â
The current members of the Finance & Governance Committee are: Cllr Neil Glendinning, Cllr Christine Cook, Cllr Ian Graham, Cllr Alan Green (Chair), Cllr Julie McLean & Cllr Bob Saunders (Deputy).
